During the New Year's retreat of 2007-2008, Mark Griffin gave an in-depth teaching on The Wheel of Cyclic Existence, the Twelve Spokes of Dependent Origin. Taking it out of the traditional Buddhist nomenclature, he taught its modern essence, and showed how it is a pathway leading either to bondage or liberation.
The 4-part audio download includes a PDF, illustrating and summarizing the qualities of each stage along the wheel.
The cover image for download comes from a part of the talk where Mark describes our common reality to be like a film. At some point, the filmstrip itself may develop a slight hole in it; and then, over time, the filmstrip breaks and the white light of the projector itself shines through. This is analogous to how Shaktipat breaks through our normal existence, sadhana wears thin the veil of illusion, and the pure light of reality comes streaming through as Samadhi. This is an image that Mark particularly loves.
This audio download includes a wonderful Q&A session with Mark held at the conclusion of the retreat. This Q&A is also available separately as Satsangs Volume 3 - please see below.
