This talk was given by Mark Griffin in 2002, and includes a wonderful and very thorough description of the use of mantra and the specifics of Om Namah Shivaya, the famous five syllable mantra of liberation and power.  In addition to the instruction, this talk offers mantra diksha, or initiation into the enlivened use of this ancient mantra from a true meditation master who has realized its full potency.
